In short

What we collect

We collect your name, postal code, email address and the information you choose to include with your request: phone number, availability, job description and photos. Phone and availability are optional.

Why we collect it

We use this information only to review your request and possibly contact you about your project. We keep your details and photos confidential and limit access to the person reviewing requests.

Service providers and where your data is stored

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that host and deliver this service: Cloudflare (website, database and photo storage), Resend (email delivery) and Microsoft Outlook (our mailbox). These providers may store or process your information outside Canada and Quebec, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under local law.

Who is responsible

Person in charge of the protection of personal information: FixQuotes privacy contact, fixquotes@outlook.com.

How long we keep it

We automatically delete requests, contact details and photos 12 months after a request’s last update, or sooner if you ask.

Your private link and photos

Keep your request link safe. Anyone with that link can view your request and photos and respond to a quote. Do not post or forward the link. If you think someone else has it, email us and we will delete the request. Please avoid including people or sensitive documents in your photos.

Security and breaches

We use encryption in transit and access controls. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the regulators.

Access, correct or delete your information

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent. Email fixquotes@outlook.com from the address used for your request and include its private link. We reply within 30 days, at no cost. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
